Illusion^®

Illusion is an exclusive rose for special moments. Illusion is cut at different stages of maturity, as a result of which each flower has a different colour, varying from warm pink through cream to green. So each rose is unique. Although the flower is already open at the time when it is cut, it has an excellent vase life.

More about the rose

Illusion is the only rose in the world that shows a unique colour change of the flowers when they ripen on the plant. As a typical greenhouse variety it unfortunately can only be grown in greenhouses with fully controlled climate. In 2002 this variety was introduced by grower Eric Stokman from The Netherlands. At that time it was the first rose variety specifically planted to be harvested ripened and with fully opened flowers. Through the large flower auctions in the Netherlands the flowers are being sold to exclusive flower shops and flower arrangers in for example Milan, Rome and Paris. There is a very small chance that you will see it on display in a flower shop. Most flowers are being ordered for special occasions by exclusive florists from many different countries. Ask your quality florist for Illusion roses, they should be able to order them!
